• The Trinity-One God revealed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit • Inspiration of the Scriptures-the bible is God’s holy word and is the Supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct • Man-we believe that all men are by nature sinners , unable to save themselves and need the grace of Jesus Christ • Jesus Christ-He is God, Divine, Eternal , Only begotten Son of God, come in the flesh, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He is God and Man • Jesus’ vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father ,and His second coming-visible bodily return to the earth • Salvation- by grace through faith ,it is the gift of God not based on works, which are simply a fruit of salvation. This salvation is received by repentance for sin and faith toward God, through the work of the cross • The love of Father God revealed through the person of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit is the primary message of the Christian church and takes precedence over all differences, whether they be theological, denominational, ideological, or physical in nature. • We believe in a literal heaven a place of eternal bliss for those who believe and are saved and a literal hell-a place of eternal punishment for those who reject Jesus Christ • The Church, Universal-people everywhere who have trusted in Christ for salvation .Local-the gathering together of the people of God for worship ,prayer ,and mutual encouragement .The proclamation of the good news of the Gospel of redemption should be a primary duty of the church and all Christians . • Ordinances of the church-Water Baptism-immersion in water as identification with Jesus’ death burial and resurrection Lord’s supper-a partaking of the covenant meal of the Body and blood of Jesus Christ a NT Passover meal. Marriage-and the sanctity thereof , as ordained by God in Gen 2:18. as the union between one man and one woman Laying on of hands- for healing ,ordination and impartation of spiritual gifts |
